Many consumers will have already noticed an increase in their weekly shopping bills as prices continue to rise in stores across the country, including Aldi, Lidl, Supervalu, Dunnes Stores and Tesco.
The price of essentials such as bread, milk and butter have all gone up by about 10 to 40 cent since the beginning of the year.
These increases may seem small to some people, but when added up over the course of a month could bring your grocery bill up by about €100.
