Chelsea appointed Graham Potter as manager last year in September with Todd Boehly trusting the former Brighton boss to lead his long-term vision at Stamford Bridge. The Blues endured a difficult season on the pitch and currently sit 10th in the Premier League table.
Recent form has seen pressure build from supporters and last weekend's defeat to bottom of the league Southampton has only worsened the mood amongst fans. A number of potential candidates have emerged as Potter's successor should Boehly take the decision to sack the 47-year-old after just six months since his appointment.
Mauricio Pochettino is said to have rejected a proposal from the Blues whilst Zinedine Zidane has recently delivered a fresh verdict on his managerial future. football.london understands Boehly and Behdad Eghbali remain supportive of Potter - for now - and his job isn't under immediate threat.

So, how much would it cost Chelsea to part ways with Potter after he signed a five-year deal to become manager at Stamford Bridge last year? football.london takes a look.
The exact value of Potter’s contract is not known. The 47-year-old signed a five-year deal that runs until the summer of 2027 last year which is estimated to be worth between £12million per year, as per the Daily Mail.
If Boehly was to take the decision to sack Potter, Chelsea would need to buy out the remainder of his deal. This would cost the Blues somewhere in the region of £50million, given he has already completed half a year in charge.
Given that Potter brought a lot of his own staff with him from Brighton, it is likely that Chelsea would need to pay off at least some of his staff if they were to leave with him. Ultimately, sacking Potter would see the Blues take a huge financial hit after already spending £600million on new signings in the summer and winter transfer windows.
The west London outfit are already on thin ice regarding Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations, with Champions League qualification looking highly unlikely at this stage of the season. It looks as though sacking Potter may not be financially viable at present and could be one of the factors behind the ownership standing firm on their decision to back the manager moving forward.
