Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United will all pocket over £1.5m for allowing their players to represent their countries during the group stages of the World Cup.
Those totals could break the £2m mark depending on how their squad members fare in Qatar with FIFA paying clubs per player by the day as they face up to a mid-season break for the first time in history. The Premier League season hit the brakes on Sunday as over 100 players from across the 20 clubs prepared to jet to the Middle East.
Having the World Cup in Qatar has seen the tournament rescheduled for the winter for the first time in history and clubs will be praying they get their players back with a clean bill of health. In the meantime, though, they will be compensated for their losses with those clubs who've provided more players more handsomely rewarded.
