Latitude festival has a bumper line-up again this year as revellers get ready for three days of music, arts and entertainment.
The multi award-winning cinch presents Latitude event returns to the stunning grounds of Henham Park, Suffolk.
Festivalgoers have set up camp ready after the gates opened on Thursday 21 July and they are set to party until the closing act on Sunday 24 July 2022.
Tickets are still available for those at a loose end this weekend and wanting to see some big acts.
The family-friendly event is one of the smaller festivals of the summer, with a capacity of about 40,000 fans.
This year's event will prove very different from that held 12 months ago on the same spot.
That occasion was selected as an official Government test for how to hold a mass festival safely during the coronavirus crisis, with people having to provide a negative Covid test before being allowed to party mask-free.
Latitude festival 2022 line-up
Velvet-throated Scotsman Lewis Capaldi is scheduled to headline on Friday night, with Foals and Snow Patrol the top acts on Saturday and Sunday respectively at the 2022 Latitude festival.
Others set to wow fans include Maggie Rogers, Little Simz, Manic Street Preachers, Phoebe Bridgers, Groove Armada, Fontaines D.C. and Russell Howard.
As well as the music, the festival is where arts meets foodie feasts and family fun in a weekend of cultural adventure.
How much do Latitude acts get paid?
Information on how much the headliners get paid at Latitude does not appear to have been disclosed - but we do have an indication of how much acts further down the bill pocket.
When playing on the main stage at Latitude in 2015, British singer-songwriter Badly Drawn Boy went on a rant about how little he was being given to rock up to the event.
He was one of the first acts on the main stage that day and said his fee was £5,000.
The artist, who wrote the soundtrack to the film About A Boy featuring Hugh Grant, is said to have claimed the fee was an “insult” to someone who had achieved his level of success.
Given much bigger selling acts such as Lana Del Rey, Noel Gallagher and the Chemical Brothers have headlined the three-day event in the past, it seems safe to assume those names were paid far more than £5,000 for performing.
Where can you buy Latitude tickets?
Latitude may be officially underway for another year, but those up for a last-minute jaunt to the Suffolk countryside can still acquire tickets.
Adult weekend tickets, which include standard camping, are available via the Ticketmaster website for £254.05 each.
To add an accompanied teen ticket costs £175.40 and a child ticket can be bought for just £15.
Teen tickets cover people aged 13-15, while children aged five to 12 are eligible for £15 tickets.
Family weekend tickets no longer appear to be available.
