Kids, we promise, this used to be normal.
It's no secret that prices of nearly everything have skyrocketed since the pandemic, but fast food companies have been making headlines for all of the wrong reasons.
While companies including McDonald's, Burger King and more have defended their pricing and have begun offering value meals to get consumers back in the door, it's hard not to notice that the dollar menu is kind of a memory of a cheaper, greasier era.
So how much have prices increased at Restaurant Brands' (QSR) Burger King?
We compared archived 2019 prices from fastfoodmenuprices.com with recent prices at a Los Angeles-based Burger King location and found it's price that's king in the royal court of Whoppers.

We compared 2019 prices from fastfoodmenuprices.com with 2024 prices at a Los Angeles location and found….
The Whopper soared from $4.19 to a $7.79
Bacon Double Cheeseburgers went from $2.29 to $4.99
The Original Chicken Sandwich jumped from $4.09 to $7.59
$2.19 medium French Fries will now take you back $3.89
And finishing off your meal with a shake went from $3.09 to $4.99
Seems like cash instead of taste is actually king.
