Willie Mullins moved to 90 victories at the Cheltenham Festival with two winners on day one of the 2023 edition of the event.
The day began in the worst possible fashion for Mullins, who witnessed Facile Vega falter at the last to let Marine Nationale sneak in for the win.
But the most successful trainer in Cheltenham history bounced back as El Fabiolo defeated Jonbon in the Arkle.

State Man was unsurprisingly beaten by the imperious Constitution Hill in the Champion Hurdle, while Risk Belle had to make do with third in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.
The famed trainer finished off his day with win 90 of his career at the festival when Gaillard Du Mesnil came up trumps in the final race of the day.
