Just as one drama aired its final episode on Sunday night, another one started on ITV on Monday, with the debut of Maryland.
Millions tuned into the last episode of tense medical thriller Malpractice at the weekend and now viewers are set to tune in in their droves to ITV's latest offering, especially given that the Maryland cast is headed up by none other the much loved and award winning actress Suranne Jones.
Since leaving her breakthrough TV role as Karen McDonald in Coronation Street, Suranne has gone onto meet with critical acclaim for high profile roles in the likes of Gentleman Jack, Doctor Foster and Vigil.
