How Man United and Real Madrid could ruin Eden Hazard's fairy-tale Chelsea transfer return

Man United and Real Madrid's next managerial selections could have a huge impact on the future of Eden Hazard who is understood to be eager to complete a homecoming to Chelsea in the summer.

The 31-year-old, who has two-and-a-half years left to run on his Los Blancos contract, left the Blues in the summer of 2019 for the Spanish giants for a fee believed to be in excess of £100million.

However, since the Belgian made the move to the Spanish capital, things have been far from ideal. Hazard has struggled with injury problems throughout his time at the Santiago Bernabeu and has only made seven starts in La Liga this term.

According to Spanish football journalist, Ramon Alvarez, via the Express, Real Madrid and Chelsea are now in talks over a possible loan deal for Hazard.

Radio Marca have also validated these talks clarifying that the European and World Champions are trying to plough through with a loan deal.

With the Madrid giants needing to offload the Belgian to make room on the wage bill for a potential Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe swoop, they could shoot themselves in the foot with what they do next regarding their managerial situation.

It is understood that Florentino Perez and co are looking at potential replacements for underachieving Ancelotti who is on the verge of exiting the Champions League unless Madrid can overturn their deficit against Paris-Saint Germain next week.

Despite leading the way in La Liga by a six point buffer over Sevilla, ironically enough, their managerial candidate to replace the former Chelsea manager is in fact Mauricio Pochettino who is looking to end his PSG stay prematurely.

Now, it is already known that Man United would love to replace interim Ralf Rangnick with the former Spurs boss at the end of the season but Real Madrid's interest is prompting Richard Arnold to consider other options with Ajax's Erik Ten Hag on the managerial shortlist.

In what could be a merry-go-round situation which could damage Chelsea, it has been reported by ESPN that the Red Devils could employ Ancelotti on a short-term deal if Pochettino was to opt for a return to Spain over England and then PSG could react by bringing Zinedine Zidane in to the Parc de Princes.

From the Blues' perspective, if they are to seal the return of their iconic number 11, then they better hope that Ancelotti remains in post at Real Madrid and Pochettino goes to Man United because the Argentine boss could hand the out of favour player in question a fresh opportunity in Spain if things were to unfold in an uncertain way.

In fact, when in north London, the beloved Tottenham manager put Hazard in the same bracket as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, just showing how highly he regards Real Madrid's number 7.

"He has unbelievable quality," the Argentinean said via the Sun in the past. "It's so difficult to stop him.

"He's this type of player that is on the highest of levels.

"In the same levels of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo- he's this type of player that is so difficult to stop."

Pochettino's end of season potential move to the Spanish capital could prompt Thomas Tuchel to focus all attentions on one or both of Raphinha or Ousmane Dembele if Hazard was to become unattainable due to this potential managerial merry-go-round.
