Pep Guardiola must decide whether to keep Rico Lewis in his Manchester City starting XI or recall Joao Cancelo or Kyle Walker.
Guardiola has played Lewis in both of City's post-World Cup fixtures so far, keeping his senior right-backs on the bench, and the manager has praised Lewis' ability to cover both right-back and defensive midfield positions. Cancelo came off the bench at Leeds, and Walker is also available to face Everton as City look to keep the pressure on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
City could also look to recall the likes of Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva, who are yet to start after the World Cup, as well as refreshing the line-up from the Leeds win. Kalvin Phillips returned to the bench after criticism of his weight a week earlier, so will also be in contention.

Guardiola will need all of his players involved over the next few months and this home game with Everton seems an ideal time to reintroduce more players that weren't involved after their World Cup exploits.
Aymeric Laporte, Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo will all be hoping to be integral to the defence for the biggest games left this season and City should not be unduly stretched by an Everton side low on confidence. John Stones had an excellent World Cup and picked up where he left off at Leeds.
Phil Foden also remains an interesting topic while he isn't starting City games. The sooner he does start, the fewer questions Guardiola will have to face.
City's league title win last season was built on Kevin De Bruyne being the leading man and while Erling Haaland will take the headlines this year De Bruyne can be just as important. Any team with him in the starting lineup is stronger than one without it.

However well Rico Lewis has done in his last two outings, he looked exhausted at the end of the Liverpool win and was replaced early at Leeds. He's only just turned 18, and deserves a rest, so Kyle Walker can come back in on the right to get him up to speed ahead of the Chelsea double-header. Likewise, Joao Cancelo can return on the left.
The rest of the side should be about rotation and ensuring the starting XI is as fresh as possible. That could mean recalls for Aymeric Laporte, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden in their respective positions.

It would be harsh for Lewis to drop out of the team this weekend but the 18-year-old looks a prototype of a Guardiola full-back and maybe the only other lesson he needs to learn under the Catalan is being left out of the side when you don't always deserve it. It would no judgement on his performances to come out and Walker might need the game, given he's the more likely starter at Stamford Bridge in the week. The same goes for Cancelo at left-back. I'd shift Ake inside as a result of that, to play alongside Akanji, with Stones and Laporte on the bench.
Everton are all over the place at the moment and this should be an occasion when Guardiola can pick a slightly more attacking team. Rodri will start with Kalvin Phillips still learning the role and building up his fitness, but Bernardo can come in alongside De Bruyne in the centre of the pitch.
Guardiola has been favouring control recently but Foden has been in excellent form despite finding himself in and out of the side. He's probably an unlikely starter at Chelsea, so should play this game. Grealish can start from the left once again and Haaland is the No. 9.
