Paul Russell will only serve a few more months in prison for helping Thomas Cashman's efforts to cover up the murder of Olivia Pratt-Korbel before he is freed.
The 41-year-old was today jailed for 22 months after admitting assisting an offender in relation to the fatal shooting of the schoolgirl inside her own home on Kingsheath Avenue in Dovecot on the evening of August 22 last year. He disposed of clothing worn by the child killer and drove him back to his van in the aftermath of the incident.
But Russell is due to be released from custody in just over four months' time. This is because he will only be required to serve half of the 22-month term behind bars before becoming eligible to be freed on licence.
