Barry Ferguson reckons Rangers boss Gio van Bronckhorst has five games to save his job but is today’s clash with Aberdeen a must-win?
Gordon Banks: If Rangers go down to the Dons then it's difficult to see a way back for Van Bronckhorst as the truth is the majority of the fans have already given up the ghost with Gio.
Fraser Wilson: Yes. Rangers fans always demand a win against Aberdeen anyway but with the current climate at Ibrox then the thought of potentially falling further off the pace with another poor result is unthinkable for van Bronckhorst.
Michael Gannon: Anything other than three points and the heat is going to be cranked up another level for van Bronckhorst. It’s hard to see how he could survive a defeat.
Has big-money signing Ridvan Yilmaz done enough to merit a run in the Rangers side?
Gordon: No. Borna Barisic is a far better option and it's another huge question mark over the recruitment at Rangers.
Fraser : I quite liked what he brought against Napoli which was a proper baptism of fire. Looks like he likes to cut inside more than Borna Barisic when attacking and dug in defensively. Like John Lundstram maybe he’s just been a slow burner.
Michael: The youngster had some tough moments the other night but he’s looked the part in recent matches. He was brought in for the long haul but he deserves a decent crack at it now.
Can Livingston trip up Celtic like they did with Rangers last weekend?
Gordon: Why not? The pitch is a nightmare for Celtic and Livingston's work ethic and tactical nous makes a shock a real possibility.
Fraser: Without doubt they can. I just don’t think they will. Celtic are back in their goalscoring flow and should edge it. But if there’s one team with the resolve, determination and history of stopping the Hoops its Livi.
Michael: This is the last game Celtic would have picked on the back of a European clash. Livi are their bogey team and it would be no shock if they pinched more points off the Hoops tomorrow.
What can Hearts take from their European escapades in the race for third in the Premiership?
Gordon: Hearts can now believe they can win games in Europe and RFS were no great shakes but once the Jambos get their injured defenders back they will get back into their stride.
Fraser: Six points and close to £4m in total is a great return with a game to spare. But Hearts have been well off it footballing wise against the big boys Fiorentina and Istanbul. The biggest disappointment and missed opportunity came in the Europa League play-off against a bang average Zurich.
Michael: Not a lot. The cash will be handy but apart from that two wins against a Latvia side won’t do much. Hearts need to spark a run of form in Scotland now.
