Chelsea have two more transfers to announce. Or at least that's what Blues supporters are hoping.
The summer transfer window officially closed for Premier League teams at 11pm on September 1, but two deals at Stamford Bridge were not announced when that window closed. Having been linked with a host of players, it was finally down to two more signings to be completed.
Those names were Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Denis Zakaria. Aubameyang's deal had been in the pipeline for a few weeks, with the former Arsenal man expected to team up with his former boss Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge. The Gabon striker was even caught on camera arriving in London to put pen to paper on a deal from Barcelona.
The other deal came a bit out of left field. Denis Zakaria was expected to complete his loan move from Juventus, although that move was also not announced before the 11pm deadline.

This piece of paperwork allows clubs to prove that a deal had been agreed between both clubs and means that the relevant governing bodies can ratify the transfer and allow the player to be registered.
This allows clubs to be granted 'extra time' to get the deal done - but this can only be submitted between 9-11pm. Should a deal sheet be submitted in this two-hour period, all the documentation must be fully completed in order for it to be allowed.
It is understood that Chelsea have two deal sheets in for the two players in question, but how long do Chelsea have to complete a transfer once a deal sheet is in? The deal sheet gives them an extra two hours to get a deal done and is a system which allows for snags in a process which can have multiple stakeholders and millions of pounds changing hands.
The new deadline is 1am on September 2 then...
