How Liverpool fans can watch transfer target Luis Diaz in action tonight

Excitement is building after news of Luis Diaz being targeted by Liverpool ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

The Reds have made an offer worth £49million for the Porto winger, which is split into a £37m initial fee plus £12m in add-ons.

Diaz has enjoyed a hugely successful season to date, scoring 16 goals and registering six assists in all competitions to elevate his status as a player with huge potential.

It's safe to say, however, that such displays have not gone unnoticed.

Tottenham Hotspur made the first move for the Colombian international, but recently saw their initial offer rejected by the Portuguese club.

It is understood that Diaz was a player Liverpool were plotting to move for during the summer window, though Jurgen Klopp's side appear to have fast-tracked plans these plans.

The 25-year-old shaped up against the Reds in the group stages of this season's Champions League, playing 90 minutes both home and away as Porto suffered two defeats.

For any supporters wishing to see more of Diaz, though, there is an opportunity to do some further scouting this evening as he prepares to take part in a World Cup qualifier.

Colombia host Peru at 9pm GMT tonight as they look to maintain their pursuit of a place at the tournament in Qatar, with only four qualifying matches left to play.

The match is set to be shown live on FreeSports, which can be accessed on Freeview HD channel 64, Sky HD channel 422, Virgin HD 553, TalkTalk 64, BT Vision channel 64, Samsung TV Plus as well as on the FreeSports Player.

On the back of Friday's contest, Los Cafeteros take on Argentina on Tuesday before further fixtures in March against Bolivia and Venezuela.
