For over 150 years, the Tatas have created a legacy of nation-building in India. From making one of India's first commercial airlines in 1948 to the first indigenous car-- the Tatas have done this and much more through generations. July 29, 2022, marks the 118th birth anniversary of Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata (JRD Tata), the chairman of Tata Group who is best-known to be the founder of various industries including Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, Tata Salt, Air India, among others. JRD Tata was awarded the prestigious awards-- Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan in 1992 and 1995 respectively for his immense contributions to the Indian industry.
