On paper, the far right’s nightmares have become reality. Armed soldiers stalk the streets, civilians are being snatched from churches by masked goons, children are being targeted in schools, an official curfew is in place in a major city, the President is trampling over states’ rights, and due process is a thing of the past.
But in a darkly ironic twist, because Donald Trump is doing all this, conservatives think everything’s just peachy. But, to anyone with functioning senses and a working brain, it’s pretty darn obvious the United States is currently heading down an extraordinarily dark and ominous road.
