In a disappointing turn of events, Disney Television executive Craig Erwich recently shared some unfortunate news regarding the fate of the Hulu series How I Met Your Father. As a sequel to the beloved CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, the show focuses on Hilary Duff's character, Sophie, as she reflects on her journey to finding the man she would start a family with. Sadly, after just two seasons, How I Met Your Father was cancelled in 2023, leaving fans wondering if Sophie's story will ever receive a proper conclusion.
With five months having passed since the show's cancellation, Erwich revealed to Deadline that there is currently no news about a special episode or movie that would tie up loose ends. While his response was brief, it strongly indicates that hopes of a proper conclusion to Sophie's story may remain unaddressed for now. This news is likely to disappoint fans who were eagerly anticipating a resolution to the captivating narrative.
