Lindstrom, who was drafted by Atlanta in 2019 and became a starter in 2020, will now earn $63 million guaranteed and will have an average annual salary of $21 million.
The $21 million average puts Lindstrom ahead of the Colts’ Quenton Nelson ($20 million), while the $105 million total puts him ahead of Nelson as well.
With the legal tampering period now underway and the new league year set for Wednesday afternoon, we’re looking at how Lindstrom’s new deal impacts Isaac Seumalo.
Comparing Lindstrom to Seumalo in 2022
The 2022 season was the best season of Lindstrom’s career, as he started all 17 games, earning his first Pro Bowl, the AP All-Pro Second-team, PFF’s All-Pro Team, and PFWA All-NFC Team.
Seumalo worked his way from third-round pick to dependable starter, past some injuries to Pro Bowl alternate, all while having played all five positions.
Highest paid Guards in the NFL
Lindstrom’s $105 million deal puts him ahead of Quenton Nelson.
Suemalo will hope to land in the $12-$13 million per season range.
Seumalo's projected deal
Avg per year: $12 million
One of the top interior offensive linemen on the open market, Seumalo will land a massive deal placing him among the highest paid at his position.
Final observation
The Eagles just lost T.J. Edwards to the Bears, and the expectation is that Seumalo will land a monster deal in the next 24 hours as well.
