How double midfield exit could clear path for Nicolò Zaniolo Tottenham signing for Antonio Conte

New options have emerged for both Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso to leave The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in recent days, with both set to leave North London.

Any move for these midfielders could see space opening up for Spurs to continue their summer spending spree, with Roma's Nicolò Zaniolo reported being high on the list of priorities for Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici this summer.

Ndombele did not travel on the club's pre-season tour, with the club's record signing set to leave the club. It is now being reported by French outlet Media Foot that Newcastle are leading the race to sign the former Lyon midfielder in what could amount to a £42 million deal.

Another midfielder set for the exit door is Giovani Lo Celso, who spent time on loan with Villareal last season and had been linked with a return to the La Liga side, with whom he reached the Champions League semi-finals. However, it is now being reported by Corriere dello Sport that Lazio have entered the race to sign the Argentina international.

A loan deal with an obligation to buy is the most likely option for the star, who was also not involved in Spurs' pre season tour. His exit alongside Ndombele's could mean that the signing of Zaniolo could become more justifiable for the Spurs hierarchy, with a £50 million price tag being reported, the ability to recoup money for both players could justify a higher bid after Roma rejected their first but.
