How does Sports Illustrated grade the Browns’ offseason thus far?

As the Cleveland Browns continue to plug holes on their roster in NFL free agency, they have already attacked the offseason with efficiency. Landing defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson, defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, safety Juan Thornhill, and wide receiver Elijah Moore (all positions of need), the Browns are loading up for their first potential playoff run since 2020.

And Sports Illustrated’s Gilberto Manzano agrees.

Grading every team’s offseason, Mazano gave the Browns a B+ for their efforts in improving their roster, specifically the defensive side of the ball:

“The Browns improved defensively with the free-agent signings of Tomlinson, Okoronkwo and Thornhill. The arrival of Moore, who was traded by the Jets last week, will give Deshaun Watson a playmaker downfield. Cleveland got better on both sides of the trenches, and the additions will assist the team’s two most important players in Watson and Myles Garrett.”

None of this matters without wins on the field, but the Browns have put themselves in a favorable position.
