The Boston Celtics have added former Clevland Cavaliers wing Lamar Stevens to their roster on a partially guaranteed deal, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Stevens has a reputation for being a solid defender and amassed 24 starts for his former team last season.
Boston lost some of their defensive intensity this past season, trading away Marcus Smart and Grant Williams. As such, Stevens could find himself assuming a significant role as a wing-stopper off the bench as Joe Mazzulla searches for a better balance between offense and defense.
