Long Beach State will be dancing in the 2024 men’s NCAA tournament … with a fired coach at the helm.
Earlier this month, the program announced Dan Monson would no longer be the head coach, but that it would let him finish out the season, which included the Big West tournament. Well, you can guess what happened next: the 49ers won out, and now they’re headed to the tourney.
If someone else doesn’t hire Monson after all this, they are truly missing out. Plus, Monson delivered a perfect quote after the win on Saturday:
