How can I watch John Swinney's speech on Scottish independence today?

JOHN Swinney is set to give a speech to Yessers to mark the 10th anniversary of the 2014 independence referendum.

Scottish writer Sara Sheridan will introduce the First Minister before he gives his speech.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the speech taking place?

Swinney will be giving his speech in Edinburgh and it is due to begin around 10.25am.

It comes the day after a YouGov poll found that Yes would win an independence referendum if it was certain that Scotland would rejoin the European Union.

How can I watch the speech?

It is likely that most major broadcasters, including the BBC and Sky News, will have the speech available to view in some format.

It’s also worth keeping an eye on the SNP’s social media channels as they may also choose to broadcast the speech.

What else is happening on the anniversary?

Believe in Scotland has also organised a number of rallies to take place across the country on the anniversary, including one at the Scottish Parliament.

We also told how MSPs will debate a motion on the country’s path to independence on the 10th anniversary of the referendum.
