Fuming Brits who share a birthday with Boris Johnson say they are disgusted a gathering was held inside Downing Street in 2020, as they accused him of "dancing on people's graves."
Whilst the vast majority of the country were staying inside and social distancing, the Prime Minister was having cakes with colleagues.
While remembering to keep their distance owing to the Government’s strict rules, people marked major milestones alone, went for lonely walks and struggled with sick family members.
Single mum Donna Levermore, 58, spent June 19, 2020, alone with her daughter Kirsten, 25, who was recovering from a thyroid cancer operation
Her op had been rescheduled six times before finally going under the knife.
Mum Donna said: “It was terrible, absolutely awful...we're sitting there holding each other - but hardly holding each other because she was so sore with her stitches...we pulled ourselves through it completely alone.
“He is not fit to govern, he has absolutely crushed the spirit of people - how are you supposed to believe in anything when this has happened?
"He will be remembered in history with the worst of the worst for what he's done... it's like dancing on someone's grave."
Angus Proud, 68, tweeted a picture of himself having a quiet birthday drink the same day with his partner.
He added: "On June 19, 2020, I had a night out(doors) for my birthday. Just the two of us.
"I was never a fan of Johnson, but I did think in March and April that year that he got the country on the right path.
"To find out now that he was leading his own life by his own rules is pretty galling.”
Several people also took to Twitter to say what they got up to instead of seeing friends, loved ones and colleagues on the same day.
While remembering to keep their distance owing to Boris Johnson ’s Covid rules, people marked major milestones alone, went for lonely walks and had takeaways.
Most remarked they certainly did not have a cake- unlike the PM and his Downing Street colleagues.
Former Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davidson led the critical remarks, saying: “By coincidence, my partner shares a birthday with the Prime Minister (June 19).
“We marked it in 2020 by inviting one other household to sit outside, socially distanced, in our garden. It didn't occur to us - literally couldn't conceive - that we would act outside the rules.”
Adding her own experience, Nicola Hurst wrote: “My daughter celebrated her third birthday at the same time, we didn’t have a party."
Mum Ruth Tissington shared her own heartbreaking experience as she told how her young children cried at not being able to cuddle their grandmother.
She wrote: “It was my Mum’s birthday the same day. My children sat at the end of her path, they cried as they couldn’t cuddle Grandma.
“She was close to tears as my 8-month-old didn’t know her and she couldn’t cuddle him.”
Earlier today the Met Police confirmed investigations into events at Downing Street and Whitehall where participants may have breached Health Protection Regulations on a number of dates are underway.
Speaking at the London Assembly’s Police and Crime Committee this morning, Commissioner Cressida Dick said: “As a result firstly of information provided by the Cabinet Office inquiry team and secondly my officers’ own assessment, I can confirm that the Met is now investigating a number of events that took place at Downing Street and Whitehall in the last two years in relation to potential breaches of Covid-19 regulations."
