Israel is continuing to bombard the besieged Gaza Strip for a fifth day in a row in the wake of a deadly attack on Saturday by the Palestinian group Hamas.

The latest death toll stands at 950 Palestinians killed in Gaza and 1,200 people killed in Israel.
