The weather in Glasgow is soaring with highs of 27C expected this week alone. And it won't stop there with 25C expected across the weekend making for yet another bright week in sunny Scotland - something we could get used to!
However when it comes to temperatures that we are not accustomed to, our bodies tend to act up and cause all sorts of issues from non-stop sweating to a lack of sleep.
And when you're already someone who suffers from insomnia, or you just need a good sleep, the last thing you need is for the heat to add to these difficulties.

When it comes to cooling our bodies down, it turns out one winter accessory could actually help you sleep - but there's a correct way to use it.
Keen to help us keep our covers cool and get a good night's rest, sleep experts at French Bedroom have shared how to utilise the bedroom staple during summer months, reports the Mirror.
As you might expect, you won't want to fill the bottles with hot water as usual. Instead, opt for ice-cold water - and reap the benefits. The experts point out this can help to lower your body temperature and cool your sheets, helping you drift off to the land of sleep.
But there's plenty further steps you can take if you're still struggling to get some shut-eye.
For sleepers who don't want to forgo a duvet, consider swapping out winter bedding for a lower Tog-rated duvet between 1 - 4.5. Thin cotton sheets could also prove a cool but comfy middle ground. Meanwhile, choosing natural fibre bedding like cotton, linen and silk sheets could save your sleep. The breathable quality of the material allows your skin to cool down and absorbs sweat.
Likewise, your pillow slip could be adding to your problems. It's also worth opting for a firm pillow rather than a fluffy option, as this shape will help heat to disperse.
