Following a failed House vote, Speaker Mike Johnson expressed disappointment and placed blame on Democrats for voting against aid to farmers and ranchers, disaster relief, and other bipartisan measures. The vote, which saw all but two Democrats opposing the proposed aid, has left Republican leaders regrouping to devise a new plan.
Speaker Johnson assured reporters that despite the setback, GOP leaders are committed to finding an alternative solution. He stated, 'We will re-group and we will come up with another solution. So stay tuned.'
