House Speaker Mike Johnson has been confirmed to attend Tuesday's proceedings for the New York criminal trial against former President Trump. Johnson joins a list of Republican politicians showing support for Trump, including Sens. J.D. Vance and Tommy Tuberville, who attended Monday's proceedings, along with Rep. Nicole Malliotakis. Additionally, failed 2024 presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is expected to attend Tuesday's trial, expressing his support for the former president.
The trial on Tuesday will feature ongoing testimony from former lawyer Michael Cohen, who serves as the central witness in the prosecution's case. Following the conclusion of the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's team presenting their case, Trump's attorneys will have the opportunity to cross-examine Cohen.
