House Speaker Mike Johnson has stated that he has not yet seen a letter signed by Rep. Chip Roy and other detractors, and therefore, he is unable to comment on their demands. The letter, signed by 10 House Republicans including Reps. Andy Harris, Scott Perry, and Clay Higgins, outlined several demands for Johnson to prove his commitment to enacting President Trump's agenda.

Among the demands listed in the letter were calls for legislation to ban member stock trading, roll back Biden-Harris environmental policies, and cut spending. These demands were put forth as a way to ensure that Johnson would not fail to advance the former president's bold agenda.
