House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 7 ending explained: Did Ulf betray Rhaenyra? How did Aegon's Sunfyre survive? Here's what happened

Ulf Aegon Sunfyre Ormund Hightower Team Black Team Green Aemond Gwayne Hightower Silverwing

House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 7 ends with what the season has been quietly building towards for weeks: Ulf the White apparently turning his back on Rhaenyra and throwing his dragon, Silverwing, behind Team Green.

The final scene shows Ulf in a hilltop conversation with Lord Ormund Hightower, who has been working to flip him for some time. Ormund references the fact that Daemon struck Ulf in the streets of King's Landing and tells him that Rhaenyra and her allies regard him only as a tool to be used and reprimanded.
