House near sand dunes reduced after being on sale for more than a year

The price tag of a home located just a stone's throw from Merseyside's stunning coastline has been reduced.

The property is on a stretch of road known as Riverside in Hightown, a sought after Sefton village between Crosby and Formby.

The four-bedroom detached house has undergone "substantial" renovation in the last decade, according to estate agent Kuavo. It was initially listed for sale for £600,000 in 2022 but the price has been reduced to £595,000.

The listing hailed the home's "unique design" and said it has a "large open plan layout which is perfect for contemporary living". The interior is largely neutral, with various shades of grey and striking black furniture.

The estate agent describes the kitchen as "elegant" (Kuavo)

The living space is arranged over 2,400 sq ft. Inside the central front door is a free-flowing layout, with a lounge boasting French doors and access to the snug, which is currently being used as an office, or the dining room.

The kitchen is described as an "elegant space" and features integreated units and an island.

Elsewhere on the ground floor is a small study, an integrated garage and ample storage space.

All four bedrooms are on the first floor, including a large master with its own en-suite, and a family bathroom with both a shower unit and bathtub.

Riverside is a stone's throw from the River Alt and the beach, as well as being less than half a mile from Hightown railway station.

Properties that sell there are usually flats, with five changing hands since 2020 for between £150,000 and £160,000. The last house to sell there was in 2019 for £220,000.

In Hightown overall, properties had an average price of £297,476.
