Hour-by-hour snow forecast for Leeds today as temperatures drop

Snow has fallen across Yorkshire today and temperatures have significantly dropped.

Throughout the morning many areas of the region were seen covered in snow. Fields, roads, driveways, and vehicles were seen dusted with snowflakes and ice patches.

Residents say they woke up to "frosty" conditions and "heavy" snow. Most areas of Leeds were found clear this morning but temperatures have dropped to 0C and 1C in the morning, and will reach a maximum of 2C - feeling like a temperature of -2C.

Around 8pm this evening snow fall is expected in the city. The Met Office predict the cold weather will continue through weekend and into next week with sleet, snow and ice still possible, especially along the east coast, while inland it will often be dry with widespread hard frosts and patchy freezing fog.

The Met Office has also warned of frequent wintry showers which are likely to fall on frozen surfaces in places, leading to the formation of icy patches. These showers are likely to fall as snow on high ground with some parts of South Leeds expecting snow. Here's a breakdown of the temperatures in Leeds throughout the afternoon and evening, and when it will snow.
