While the North East has been blessed with some superb sunshine, the weekend coming seems to provide a much more drab state of affairs in terms of weather.
The amazing sunny outlook this week will give way to more duller conditions, with clouds forecast by the Met Office from start to finish today. Showers are also expected at around 6pm tonight to make matters worse.
However, it's not all bad news though - with highs of 21C and lows of 17C respectively. And Saturday's forecast shows more clouds set across Newcastle and it's surrounding areas - with sunny spells particularly in the evening.

Slightly higher temperatures range between 23C and 16C at the time of writing - with no further rain expected.
The Met Office says: "Fine start with cloud thickening from the west. Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, then spreading east during the afternoon, along with a strengthening breeze.
"Staying rather warm, however. Maximum temperature 22 °C."
