Hour-by-hour Leeds weekend weather forecast pinpoints when it will snow

Temperatures have significantly dropped in Leeds this past week leaving for icy and treacherous roads.

Some parts of the region have had inches of snowfall as witnesses report roads as 'impassable' with some motorways at a standstill with motorists awaiting gritters. This comes as the Met Office issues another yellow warning for ice and snow on Sunday, December 18.

Although Saturday has started below freezing temperatures are expected to increase to 4C in some parts. We've put together an hour-by-hour forecast for Leeds over the weekend.

The Met Office said: "Some early bright or sunny spells across southern areas, but generally today will be cloudy, with outbreaks of rain, sleet and hill snow gradually moving southwards. There is a risk of ice at first on untreated surfaces. Feeling cold. Maximum temperature 4 °C."

On Sunday, the Met Office predicts: "Dry and frosty start before cloud increases. Becoming windy through the afternoon as snow arrives, which later gradually turns to sleet and rain. Feeling cold still. Maximum temperature 3 °C."
