Hounslow: Man charged with rape and attempted murder after woman attacked in west London

A man has been charged with rape and attempted murder after a woman in her 60s was found seriously injured in west London, the Met Police has said.

Ramazan Mukalazi, 39, of Benson Close, Hounslow, will appear in custody at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court later on Thursday.

Police said officers were calleed at 6.14am on Wednesday to reports that a woman had been found seriously injured on Martindale Road.

She was taken to hospital with a head injury. She remains in a life-threatening condition, the police said.

The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
