Teen sensation The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber took out second place with Stay, while Spacey Jane rounded out the top three with Lots of Nothing.

Number 1: Elephant, by The Wiggles
Amazing.
It's their first entry into the Hottest 100 after 30 years as a band doing Big Red Car, Cold Spaghetti and performing for millions of kids. And suddenly, with this cover of Tame Impala's Elephant, one of Australia's biggest exports has made a bit more history.
First kids' group to win, and the first Like A Version to win the Hottest 100.
Up The Wiggles! The Hooly Doolies could never.
A couple of shout-outs to Anthony for playing in an elephant costume throughout, Murray for coming back to help out on guitar, and Emma Wiggle (from a dancing, not musical background) for nailing the drumming in a song that has all sorts of weird, screwy time signatures and off-beat rhythms. Another iconic woman to top the list.

It's another TikTok bop!
The year for me really kicked off with Penrith Panthers star Nathan Cleary dancing to this song in someone's TikTok. He got in trouble for a breach of COVID protocol. It really encapsulates the year for me.
Number two goes to that collaboration between an emerging Indigenous superstar and one of the world's biggest pop stars.

It's the second straight podium finish for the Spaced-Out Janes. Second last year with Booster Seat and now bronze with Lots Of Nothing.
And I'm happy for them, but I kind of can't get over the fact that this countdown is coming down to The Wiggles vs Kid LAROI and Biebs.

Another iconic break-up song. This countdown is vitriolic af.
