Hot meals are being provided for people who have been left without power after the North East's infrastructure was rocked Storm Malik.
Just two months after Storm Arwen caused chaos in the region, Storm Malik left 78,000 Northern Powergrid customers without electricity once again.
As of Sunday morning, Northern Powergrid said it was working to reconnect 19,000 homes following the storm, which brought 80mph winds and was more severe than originally forecast.

The company said it has organised free hot food for those affected in the rural Northumberland village of Kielder.
A statement issued by Northern Powergrid said: "We have organised for the provision of complimentary hot food to support our customers who are without power due to Storm Malik.
"A food van will be set up ready to serve breakfast from 9am on Sunday. Also serving refreshments, hot drinks, hot meals and snacks at Kielder Post office, NE48 1EQ.
"Please check on your neighbours where possible and ensure they are aware of the hot food facility."
The company also thanked customers for their patience and understanding.
Northumberland County Council confirmed the food was being provided by local company, Street Diner.
A statement read: "Residents living in and around Kielder who are still without power can access free, hot food at Kielder Post Office from 9am on Sunday 30th January. This will be provided by local food provider, Street Diner."
Northern Powergrid's response to Storm Arwen was criticised by many for a lack of communication and provision for residents left without the ability to cook hot meals.
But with the region still reeling from the affects of Storm Malik, residents are being warned to batten down the hatches once more as Storm Corrie approaches.
A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office covering the entire north of England and Scotland, while an Amber warning is in place for northern Scotland.
The weather service is warning that Storm Corrie will likely cause some travel disruption and generate large and dangerous waves around the coast, with the warning in place from 3pm today until 12pm tomorrow.
