The Hostages and Missing Families Forum has announced that it will not be holding its weekly rallies in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem this Saturday, just two days before the anniversary of the Hamas terror attacks that occurred on October 7, 2023. The forum cited the 'security situation' in the region as the reason for this decision.
Despite the cancellation of the rallies in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, dozens of other rallies are still scheduled to take place in various locations across the country on the same day. The forum has encouraged the public to show their support by attending the rally in Carmei Gat or Sha’ar HaNegev, or by participating in protest points set up throughout the country.
Throughout the year, these rallies have been a consistent platform for demonstrators to advocate for the safe return of hostages held in Gaza through diplomatic negotiations. The families of the hostages have been actively involved in these demonstrations, urging the public to continue backing their cause and to join the ongoing efforts to bring their loved ones home.
