An Ayrshire bar and restaurant giant is celebrating after scooping two prestigious accolades at the Scottish Bar & Pub Awards.
Hospitality juggernaut Buzzworks claimed the prize double at the annual awards ceremony at Glasgow’s Doubletree Hilton.
More than 600 people from Scotland’s Licensed trade were in attendance for the glamour night.
And it was a double celebration for Troon as Lido scooped The Busker Cocktail Bar of the Year for the second year running, while nearby venue The Fox won the Kopparberg New Bar of the Year.
Both venues are located just a stone’s throw from each other on West Portland Street.
Kenny Blair, managing director at Buzzworks, said: “The Scottish Bar & Pub Awards is a highlight for everyone within the industry here in Scotland, so we are proud to have been finalists on the night and for two venues to win such prestigious awards, particularly when they are so close to one another in Troon.
“I would like to thank the teams at both Lido and The Fox for their continued attention to detail, which provides our customers with the best experience.
"This award shows our continued success which starts with our staff who we want to support as they develop into the next generation of talent within the hospitality industry.”
Buzzworks chairman, Colin Blair, was also honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his services to the hospitality industry.
The Scottish Bar & Pub awards is the longest running licensed trade awards and now in its 27th year, the award ceremony has become one of the most anticipated events in the licenced trade calendar.
Buzzworks were also named finalists in the categories of Customer Service Award, Technology Adopter of The Year and Independent Multiple Operator of The Year.
The company currently operates a portfolio of 16 venues including Scotts in Troon and Largs, Vic’s & The Vine in Prestwick, Lido venues in Prestwick and Troon, The Tree House in Ayr, The Long House and The Duke in Kilmarnock, The Mill House in Stewarton, The Corner House in Kilwinning and The Fox in Troon.
