WEST WIND BLOWS is fancied to breeze to victory in the Group 2 Jockey Club Stakes (3.35) at Newmarket.
Although he lost his unbeaten record when ninth to Desert Crown in the Derby last June, the son of Teofilo, trained in tandem by Simon and Ed Crisford, went on to score at Group 3 level at Longchamp in September.
Jamie Spencer’s mount still has more to offer on the eighth outing of his career and, with a record that suggests he will be ready to fire on his first outing of the campaign, gets the nod to lift this prize before a return to the top level.
