SOLDIER OF LOVE can make his first outing for the Fergal O’Brien yard a winning one in the Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Handicap Chase (4.10) at Warwick.
Previously trained by Paul Nicholls, the nine-year-old recorded four wins in 2020, including twice at Cheltenham, before he lost his way last season. After being pulled up at Doncaster in February, he returned three months later in much better form, winning a three-runner contest at Fontwell over 3m 2f.
He just failed to peg back Topofthecotswolds by a half-length at Worcester over two miles and seven furlongs in June and should relish the test of stamina here.
