An elderly driver travelled over a mile with a dead biker on her car roof after slamming into him at an intersection.
The woman, 67, crashed into the 26-year-old man while turning down a street near Kuala Selangor in the Malaysian state of Selangor at around 9.50am on June 23.
She then drove for over a mile with the young man’s dead body on her car roof until she was stopped by members of the public.
A police spokesperson told local media the elderly driver failed to stop at the intersection, causing the biker to crash into the side of her Proton sedan.
Kuala Selangor police chief Ramli Kasa said: “The crash led the motorcyclist to be thrown onto the roof of the car and he died on the spot.”
The victim’s body was taken to a nearby hospital to undergo an autopsy while the woman was treated for minor injuries to her lower back.
According to local media, the woman suffers from a number of serious medical conditions including diabetes, kidney problems, and high blood pressure.
A member of the victim’s family said the young man, who worked for a warehouse company on the island of Pulau Indah, was riding with his brother and a few pals when the accident took place.
Police told China Press that the victim was on his way to Pulau Indah for sightseeing before the tragedy occurred.
The woman, was said to be in deep shock and needed medical assistance.
