Man fighting for his life after losing control of e-scooter in Leeds

A 29-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after losing control of the e-scooter he was riding on in York Road, Leeds.

West Yorkshire Police (WYP) said officers were called to the street by paramedics at 7.45pm on Saturday (April 23). A spokesperson said a man was riding on an e-scooter in a cycle lane on the road, near the junction with Harehills Lane, when he lost control and fell off.

The force said no other vehicle was involved in the incident. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital and he remains in a critical condition
