A 29-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after losing control of the e-scooter he was riding on in York Road, Leeds.
West Yorkshire Police (WYP) said officers were called to the street by paramedics at 7.45pm on Saturday (April 23). A spokesperson said a man was riding on an e-scooter in a cycle lane on the road, near the junction with Harehills Lane, when he lost control and fell off.
The force said no other vehicle was involved in the incident. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital and he remains in a critical condition

In a statement released this morning (Mon) WYP said it is appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it, particularly anyone with relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit via 101 quoting reference 13220217860," the force said. Information can also be given online by clicking this link.
