Police have closed a busy Highland road for more than five hours after a serious one car crash. Emergency services were called to the scene on the A887 at Invermoriston, near Fort Augustus, at around 1.20pm on Sunday, September 18.
Motorists have been warned to expect delays and face a 25 mile diversion while officers remain at the crash site. It is not currently known whether anyone has been injured or the type of car involved.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.20pm on Sunday, 18 September, 2022, police were called to a report of a single vehicle road crash on the A887 at Invermoriston. Emergency services are at the scene.”
Traffic Scotland said: “The A887 is closed between Bun Loyne and Invermoriston due to a road traffic collision. Road users are advised to use the available diversion and expect longer than normal journey times.”
