A Leeds man has spoken of the horrific moment he witnessed a woman seriously injured in a hit and run.
Earlier this week, Leeds Live published a story about a pedestrian being run over by Crossgates Shopping Centre. The incident occurred on Station Road at 1.19pm, Tuesday, October 25.
After reading the story, the man, who wanted to remain anonymous as he fears retribution, came forward with the "real story". He saw it all happen before his eyes from his white van.

The man said: "I saw part of the accident. This was not a standard road traffic accident.
"As traffic was coming to a standstill at the lights, on the other side of the road to the entrance to the Crossgates Shopping Centre, a moped driven by someone with a black hoodie flew up the middle of stationery traffic at a speed much greater than 30mph -potentially 45mph to 50mph- hitting the pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a women in her 50's/60s was left in the middle of the road, with bruises to her face, blood running down her face and nose. It was hard to tell the full extent of her injuries.
"It's only a matter of time until someone gets killed by these groups of people on mopeds."
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 1.19pm, police were called by the ambulance service to reports of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Station Road, Crossgates.
"Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital. Temporary road closures have been put in place at this time."
