Dashcam footage has captured the horrifying moment an unlicensed driver led police on a 90mph chase through Bolton. 21-year-old Tyler Huddart can be seen running red lights and swerving onto the other side of the road during the high speed pursuit in July this year.
Huddart, of Rose Hill Avenue, Wigan, caught the attention of police after passing officers from Greater Manchester Police's Road Unit at high speed on Wigan Road on Sunday, July 3. When the officers first tried to stop him, he reversed and shunted one of the police cars before driving away.
During the chase, he reached speeds of up to 90mph, running multiple red lights and swerving onto the other side of the road in a bid to escape. Afterwards, he was chased on foot before he was detained and arrested.

Huddart pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and failing to stop for police. At Bolton Crown Court, Huddart was sentenced to 14 months in prison, suspended for two years, and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work with 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days. The judge also banned Huddart from driving for four years.
Following the sentencing, Police Constable Tom Berry of GMP’s Roads Policing Unit said “Huddart’s level of driving that day was nothing short of appalling. He had ample opportunity to stop his car and pull over, but he chose not to do so, prioritising his escape from the police over the safety of everybody else.
"It is only thanks to the teamwork and professionalism of the officers involved that the pursuit was brought to a safe conclusion resulting in Huddart being caught and arrested.
"Making Greater Manchester’s roads a safer is a top priority for GMP, and this is just one example of the hundreds of arrests made this year by the Roads Policing Unit. The Roads Policing Unit will continue to target those drivers who are unlicensed, uninsured and driving under the influence of drink and drugs."
