A cordon is in place at a property in Horfield after a woman was stabbed in the stomach. The house on Eliot Close is currently taped off with police investigating at the scene.
Police were informed by the ambulance service just before 2am this morning (April 24) that a woman was being treated for a stab wound to the stomach at the address. The woman was taken to hospital, where she remains.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.
