During the recent court proceedings, former White House communications director Hope Hicks testified about her interactions with key figures in the Trump administration. Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo questioned Hicks about her knowledge of an interview conducted by Karen McDougal with CNN's Anderson Cooper. Hicks confirmed that she was aware of the interview and had watched it.
When asked about her communication with then-National Enquirer publisher David Pecker following the interview, Hicks stated that she had no recollection of speaking to him. She did, however, recall speaking to President Trump. Hicks clarified, saying, 'To my knowledge, I did not speak to Mr. Pecker. I did speak to Mr. Trump.'
Following the interview with Anderson Cooper, Hicks departed from her role in the White House just five days later. Despite her initial departure, she later rejoined the administration at a later date.
