'Bad policy': Australia fears double US tariff rate

Australia could be hit with "damaging" tariffs of 15 to 20 per cent as President Donald Trump signalled he was considering raising the minimum baseline levy for all countries exporting goods to the US.

That would mean a potential doubling of the current 10 per cent rate US importers pay for the majority of Australian goods.
