HoYoverse announced the Honkai Star Rail 1.1 banners during the free-to-play game’s first livestream, and it turns out the leakers were right. Silver Wolf, briefly playable during the RPG’s prologue, is the new 5-star character appearing first, with Luocha headlining the update’s second half, alongside a new 4-star character named Yukong. Unlike HoYoverse usually does for Genshin Impact, we even know who the other 4-star characters are on each banner, and they’re pretty handy to have around.
There’s no Kafka this time, but since HoYoverse recently gave the Stellaron Hunter an official introduction, she’s probably not far off.
Honkai Star Rail 1.1 banners – First half
The first banner features Silver Wolf, a 5-star character who follows Nihility and wields Quantum. She specializes in dealing Quantum damage to multiple targets and inflicting the ensnare condition, which slows foes down. Silver Wolf first appears during Star Rail’s prologue, where she helps Kafka find Herta’s Stellaron and implant it in the protagonist.
The 4-star characters accompanying her are:
- Asta (Fire, Harmony)
- Dan Heng (Hunt, Wind)
- Serval (Erudition, Lightning)
Dan Heng is decent, but not spectacular. The other two are quite good, though. Serval excels at dealing damage over time with shock, and Asta buffs the party’s speed with her ultimate and stacks attack boosts with her passive talent.
Silver Wolf’s banner will run from June 7, 2023, through June 28, 2023.
Honkai Star Rail 1.1 banners – Second half
The second banners go live on June 28, 2023, and run until July 19, 2023. Luocha takes the spotlight this time, a 5-star healer with Imaginary as his element. Luocha heals allies regularly thanks to his passive and can deal a hefty amount of Imaginary damage with his ultimate.
The 4-star characters on his banner are:
- Yukong (Imaginary, Harmony)
- Pela (Ice, Nihility)
- Qingque (Quantum, Nihility)
That’s a pretty decent chance of getting an Imaginary character on your team, which is nice considering Welt, a 5-star, is currently the only source of Imaginary damage in the game. Pela removes enemy buffs and weakens their defenses, while Qingque is a bit different. Her kit centers on chance. She might get a hefty attack buff – or she might spend the party’s skill points and get nothing.
Qingque is also a free character, so if you get her in Luocha’s banner, you’ll start unlocking her Eidolons.
Honkai Star Rail 1.1 also adds the first full suite limited-time events since the game launched in April 2023, including new companion missions and double drop events.
