Homes Under the Hammer star Martin Roberts has opened up about the time he was rushed to hospital, and had to undergo an emergency surgery.
The former I'm A Celebrity contestant revealed that after he started feeling unwell, things took a turn when was then taken to hospital, and had a serious scare, writes The Mirror.
On Wednesday, the TV star revealed his health issue on Wednesday could have left him with "hours to live", as he detailed how fluid around his heart was stopping it from working.
He is now recovering in hospital from the "serious" condition after emergency surgery, and revealed he was thanking "god and angels".
Martin took to Twitter to share the news in a video, with the caption: "So. Bit of a shocker. Thankfully I’m here to tell the tale…"
He then said: "Well, I have to say this isn’t where I expected to be watching Homes Under the Hammer.
"Little bit of good news, little bit of bad news. I ended up in hospital in Bath yesterday.
"I had a few chest pains and just feeling generally lousy, so I was brought in here and turns out I had a massive amount of fluid all around my heart, which was actually stopping my heart working.
"Had they not got rid of it, which they did in an emergency operation last night, then it’s sort of quite serious, like, hours to live kind of c***.
"So here I am, still around, thank goodness, thank god and angels, all those things."
Martin went on: "There’s lots of other complicated things that have happened as a result, but we will work through those, and I’ll keep you updated.
"Meanwhile, there’s a good TV show on that I think I’ll watch here."
He was flooded with well wishes from his followers and friends after sharing the video, including his colleague Lucy Alexander.
She said: "Omg … omg sending you the BIGGEST hug ever. Love ya mate."
Another commented read: "Oh my goodness, what a shock and how scary. Best wishes for a full recovery."
Martin recently appeared on Good Morning Britain, as he shared plans to head to the Ukraine border to deliver much needed supplies, amid the conflict with Russia.
He told the hosts in an update last month, as he made the journey: "When you see it for yourself and you see things like this, this pile of children's bags that are there to be given to each of the kids arriving at this centre, they are given bags with little things they can take on their next journeys like colouring books and a cuddly toy.
"This is on the actual border and when you see these families just queuing up to go to, I don't know what, it is impossible not to be affected by it.
"There are these images in my head, it's impossible to forget."
